Artist Story

Ronnie is the artist behind iKissCustoms, based in Atlanta, and her brand name came from a moment she’ll never forget. What started as what she thought would be a simple restoration turned into something way bigger. She ended up completely changing the colors, pushing past the original plan, and trusting her instincts. When the client came to pick the pair up, their reaction said it all — they loved them so much they literally kissed the shoes. That energy hit her like a spark, and that’s exactly what iKissCustoms became: a brand built on real reactions, real emotion, and the thrill of seeing someone’s “craziest idea” become real in sneaker form.

Ronnie has been customizing for about 8 years, and in that time she’s stacked accomplishments that still feel unreal. She’s created shoes for Bow Wow for two years during his Millennium Tour, and her work has also landed on major names like Nelly, Ja Rule, Boosie Baddazz, Mike Epps, and Cardi B. Seeing her customs on stage — in different cities, different countries, in front of crowds — is a feeling that never gets old. For Ronnie, it’s not just about painting a shoe. It’s about creating something that carries a moment, a persona, and a presence… then watching it move with the artist in real time.

At the core of iKissCustoms is Ronnie’s love for one-of-one designs. She brings ideas to life whether they’re wild, simple, loud, or clean — and she’s not limited by a single technique. Color-changing effects, photo elements, diamonds, glitter, custom color matching… if it can be imagined, she can build it into a wearable piece. Her style is what she calls “New School”: mixing media, blending fabrics with paint, layering textures, and adding details that make the final product hard to copy or break down.

Two highlights stand out as personal favorites. One is making it into the Top 100 artists in the CANVVS custom shoe competition. Another is creating a pair for Jess Hilarious to wear on her comedy tour — a dream project made even more iconic by a color-changing finish.

Ronnie’s typical turnaround time is 2–3 weeks, though it can be sooner depending on the project, and she keeps options open for rush work. As for why she wanted to work with KixKote, she saw a brand with promising quality that’s still growing — and she loves being part of an underdog story.
